The law offices of Juroviesky and Ricci LLP have filed a class action lawsuit in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice against Expedia Canada Corporation and Expedia.ca (the “Defendants”).
The suit alleges widespread violations of various consumer protection legislation and certain common law causes of action. Juroviesky and Ricci LLP are seeking to pursue remedies against the Defendants for breaches under the Consumer Protection Act and the Competition Act, as well as for breach of contract and other claims based on the allegation that consumers of Expedia.ca were sold lodging accommodations and charged a non-itemized “taxes and services fee” charge, in violation of the aforementioned laws.
